Dr. Laurie Berger Jackson, Ph.D.
Dr. Laurie has been in practice for over twenty years. She received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from The Union Institute and University in Cincinnati, Ohio. She completed double major undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Behavioral Sciences with a Forensic and Criminal Justice specialty from Metropolitan State University of Denver, and received her Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from Regis University Denver.
Dr. Laurie has done in depth mental health work and training with leading Psychologists and Psychiatrists in both Kyoto and Tokyo Japan, and has studied with revered Curanderas and Shaman in Oaxaca, and various regions of Mexico. She continues to study and learn different modalities for health across the U.S., and strives to explore and implement different multicultural and interdisciplinary aspects of healing in her own life and for the benefit of others.
Dr. Laurie has done volunteer counseling with adults and teens, including motivational and career path seminars through Social Services for single young mothers. She also continues to do pro bono counseling for those in great need. Like all of us, she has had to find courage and strength through suffering and loss, to make sense of the vast and sometimes difficult world we are each a part of, and to live life to the fullest with compassion and understanding for all.
"Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the power to turn a life around."
